Round 3 · Closing · Poem from Natalie

Envelope my lungs in luminescence so I may inhale shadows. Expand twin cauldrons, cavernous organs, a symphonic alchemy of in and out and resonance rubbing against chamber. There, the effigy burning at the core of you, a wick dipped in wax, an accumulation of gain. There, opalescent tiers of limestone, a mouth made from weeping loss. Both, a softening of footsteps. Both, a surrender to depth.
